Lloyd Nelson Wood was born in Haddam (Middlesex County), Connecticut to Charles Anson and Mary L Wood in 1879. He moved to California and studied at the University of California San Francisco, but managed to get out of town before it burned in 1906. He married Mary Anna Crook in 1911 and worked as a Veterinarian.
