Early in the 20th century, a slew of lower powers, including Lucifer, chief devils and career politicians realized they must prepare mankind for the evil of the coming century. In an emergency session they devised a way...

the genius of Bad Movies

This is America, where everyone has to have a list, preferably a top-ten one. Well, let's be different --this is a reunion if I didn't mention it-- how about a top-ten list of the eleven best places to catch your bad flick fix on the web? Nothing like using someone else's guide to find places to vicarously experience other people's ideas of what a bad movie is. So, next time your trying to think of what to do in a hotel room late at night after a reunion, you'll have some ideas on what movies will give you that painful movie experience you crave.

eleven: The Big List of Movie Mistakes: is proof that people have don't have enough to do. The site is an exhaustive list of mistakes in films good, bad and just plain ugly.

ten: Jabootu's Bad Movie Dimension: is all about savoring 'films at the very bottom of the Cinematic Bell Curve'. Sounds like a definition of our list. The review index alone is worth a visit to the site as a pick me up.

nine: The Stinkers: The stinkers.com is a laundry list site that lets the people do the voting with oscar-style awards (Most Unwelcome Direct-to-Video Release, Worst Song in a Motion Picture and Worst On-Screen Hairstyle), worst 100 films of all times, bad critics and more.

eight: Oh the Humanity: thestinkers.com has the low-brow, home-brew feel of many of the best... err worst sub-B movies out there. These guys cover bad movies with spit and polish. It seems something's wrong, but, hey, who's to argue with um, er, success?

seven: This is Sexy?: genre and bad-movie seem to go hand-in-hand. And hey, besides horror, what lends itself to more bad movies that sex? Fair warning, though. Like many of these sites, the subject matter seems to caused brain damage after long term exposure and sometimes the reviewers seem to actually like what they're reviewing.

six: Horror Movies That Suck: The title. It had to be here just for the title. If you imagine an older beevis and butthead commenting on horror flicks, you'll get the general drift. Here the brain-damage extends to the site organization. There's a scroll bar that cuts the page in two. Use it to scroll down to the links that get you to the reviews.

five: Bad Cinema Diary: If horror flicks are your thing, these guys are the specialists, completely oh-so-nifty kitchified icons when you need to find the perfect bad flick now. Blender anyone?

four: Bad Movie Stuff: At this point you must have that night of the martian bimbo chainsaw sushi poster. These guys have probably got that and more. Yikes.

three: The B-Movie Guide: He says it better than I can: 'The main attraction here is something I call The B Feature, wherein I select a film or films for in-depth analysis... you'll find a plot summary ... and an analysis of the work in question.'

and at number two, Mystery Science Theater 3000: where they take really bad movies from all genres and wise-crack through the entire screening. Why just know it's bad, share it with the entire world. And share they have, the official MST 3000 site is at the bottom of the page I've linked. Check out some of the others, too. Most importantly, catch the it now, the ten-year series ends in August.

And rolling over everyone at number one, Joe Bob Brigg's: This guy may be the grand-daddy of bad movie reviewers having done this since the at least early '80s. And he gets the genre with reviews that include bullet summaries: 'Three dead bodies. One breast. Two motor vehicle chases with crash and burn. Heads roll. Electrons roll. Two Martian transvestites in clown suits.'. Need we say more? Except we will. This isn't the official site, but it'll get you there too, and to a lot of other Joe Bob stuff.
